About the Role
•Provides Supplier Sustainability team with strategic direction and implementation guidance of our Assessment & Remediation, Workplace Cooperation, Workforce Engagement, Fire & Building Safety programs, P.A.C.E. Program, and any new initiatives that may be introduced in the future.
•Provides quality assurance of programs' overall development, implementation, and impact.
•Manages regional and local partnerships with key stakeholders including government, trade union, NGO, brand, and vendor constituencies.
•Identifies skill development areas for Supplier Sustainability and helps deliver skills trainings to ensure continuous development of personnel.

About the Role

What You'll Do
Program Development (20% to 50%):
- Identify and analyze global sustainability trends to develop program proposals to address social and environmental issues in our supply chain.
- Design programs that can be implemented by Supplier Sustainability and identify partnerships that will help the team achieve scale across its factory base.
- Develop resource and personnel plans that will allow Supplier Sustainability to utilize existing financial and human resources to continuously deliver more impact within its fixed budget.
- Maintain a comprehensive awareness of competitors' programs to ensure Gap Inc.'s Supplier Sustainability program achieves and maintains leadership within the apparel industry.
- Create and deliver communications that can be delivered to Global Sustainability leadership, outlining the rationale, impact, and future growth of Supplier Sustainability programs.
Program Implementation (20% to 50%):
- Oversee the full spectrum of implementation activities across Supplier Sustainability's programs, including training, impact measurement, annual planning, and budget and personnel allocations.
- Ensure proper documentation of program content, training materials and training delivery.
- Ensure TOT of Supplier Sustainability programs to internal team, and to vendors and factories is effectively delivered and managed
Partnerships (20% to 40%):
- Able to represent Gap Inc. internally and externally, filling in for Supplier Sustainability Director on an as-needed basis.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, factories, Global Sourcing GM/RM/DMM's, Global Sourcing Hub or Spoke Office management staff, QA's, external Capacity Building and/or auditing service providers to ensure effective collaboration and partnership whenever needed.
- Manage and oversee partnerships with designated internal and external stakeholders on an as-needed basis to ensure factory related crises are proactively managed and sustainably remediated.
- Partner with local and regional trade unions, NGOs, governments, brands, and other stakeholders to proactively communicate the design and intention of Supplier Sustainability programs.
P.A.C.E. Program (TBD)
- Provide the multi-country team with strategic oversight & direction, guidance for implementation & program management and any new initiatives that may be introduced in the future.
- Provide quality assurance of programs' overall development, implementation, and impact.
- Manage regional and local partnerships with key stakeholders including GSC partners, government, NGO, brand, academia, and vendor constituencies.
- Identify skill development areas for team and helps deliver skills trainings to ensure continuous development of personnel.
- Identifies skill development areas for regional team and helps deliver skills trainings to ensure continuous development of personnel.
- Ensure prompt P.A.C.E. data entries and data integrity in Goodera
Who You Are
- At least 5 years of experience in sustainability role, preferably in apparel/ fashion/ textile industry
- Good command of English, MS Office
- Team leadership & development
- Influencing / Strong inter-personal skill
