About the Role

In this role, you will be accountable for the strategy execution and planning for the assigned fabric/product departments. You will also be responsible to lead the execution of the overall country and mill/vendor strategy for the department in partnership with the cross-functional teams. The main purpose of the role is leverage category/vendor expertise to enable brand strategies and growth plans while driving global sourcing strategy through vendor allocation (sample and bulk), capacity planning & AUC management and country / vendor / mill strategy for the responsible department(s).

What You'll Do

  • Lead the department to deliver the overall Fabric/Product strategy in order to meet the design aesthetic, commercially acceptable quality standards and optimal cost efficiencies
  • Lead the seasonal global vendor evaluation & allocation, aggregated costing and overall capacity planning across geographies; Partner with the brand to develop supply chain to support on demand customer needs
  • Build organizational capability: Development of talent in line with strategy (org designesource planning, key roles filled with hi performing talent, ensure succession plans are in place, development of bench through hiring/development)
  • Maintain strategic alliances with mills/vendors while holding them accountable for their performance and capability development
  • Champion Brand culture/aesthetic to ensure that it is understood and followed in multiple locations; Partner with internal key stakeholders (US teams & Global Sourcing teams) and provide them with insights to drive market advantage
  • Collaborate and lead others in key initiatives and their implementation
  • Responsible for planning, budget, and end results; set policies and strategic direction for area/team


Who You Are

  • Experience in driving global fabric/product development and understands design, merchandising, and global sourcing landscape
  • Proven success in leading large cross category, cross functional, global teams (direct and dotted line reporting relationships) with proven track record of assessing, attracting, developing best in industry teams
  • Ability to influence and make decisions cross functionally in a matrix environment (ensuring speed and cultural sensitivity); can proactively solve problems and effectively manage multiple challenges
  • Evaluate sometimes complex situations using multiple sources of information (internal and external sources)
  • Able to filter, prioritize, analyze, and validate potentially complex in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own subject area and understanding of procedures and concepts in other areas
