Position Objective

This position is responsible for accounting accuracy of specific areas within the company's financial statements as well as the preparation of various schedules, reconciliations, and account analyses to the monthly closing process. Additionally, this position prepares various financial statements and management reports including variance explanations utilized by finance management.


  • Responsible for providing timely and accurate monthly account analyses, reconciliations and journal entry preparation.
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate internal controls are in place and operating effectively. This includes responsibility for maintaining accurate lease narratives, maintaining the lease policy, and ensuring execution of controls.
  • Researches certain technical accounting issues as they relate to the current role and develop process improvement efficiencies in the department.
  • Responsible for preparing accurate occupancy accruals and preparing monthly journal entries.
  • Acts as main liaison to internal and external auditors for lease administration department including providing support and explanations for specific accounting treatments.
  • Responsible for uploading sales and sales exclusions from Sales Audit and forecasted sales into SLIM and running and disseminating monthly Sales Reports.
  • Prepares Occupancy Budgets and Forecasts, as well as ad hoc reporting and analytical requirements for executive management.

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required

    Required Qualifications
    • 4+ years of accounting experience
    • Advanced General Ledger skills; Excellent accounting and financial analysis skills required
    • Highly motivated self-starter, excellent communication and leadership skills
    • Attentive to detail, well organized and able to thrive in a fast paced dynamic environment
    • Working knowledge of GAAP required
    • Perform duties with a "Customer Service" mentality

    Preferred Qualifications
    • SAP expertise preferred
    • Retail or Lease accounting experience preferred
    • CPA/MBA preferred. Prefer direct experience with lease accounting
