With the support and guidance of the Returns Supervisor, the Returns Clerk is responsible for preparing inbound documentation prior to the receipt of goods, verifying receipt accuracy, and finalizing the receiving process.


Primary Job Duties
  • Ensures the accuracy of inbound receipts
  • Prepares receiving documentation upon return arrival
  • Coordinates with Supervisor and the Returns Lead to ensure that priority shipments are expedited
  • Print ASNs for Wholesale and Retail Returns
  • Checks BOL's for variances and assists the returns leadership team in accounting and reporting any variances
  • Maintains the "dock-in" procedure for all inbound ASNs
  • Completes verification of inbound ASN(s) before each end of day
  • Print UPC labels as needed for Material Handlers/Return Processors
  • Comfortable with communicating discrepancies with leadership due to processing errors
  • Assist with researching and answering customer service inquiries and receipt discrepancies
  • Assist with email correspondence with Finance IC, Retail Operations and Customer Service/Care teams
  • Maintain a comprehensive filing system for Wholesale by customer and Retail/Ecomm by date
  • Assists in maintaining the security of the warehouse by conducting operations in a manner that promotes safety of employees and security of product
  • Informs management of any unsafe or hazardous working conditions
  • Leads by example by following all safety policies within the DC
  • Comfortable in working in a fast paced environment, flexible in changing direction as needed
  • The Returns Clerk is not limited to clerk functions and may be asked to do other job functions in the distribution center.

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training
  • Experience or understanding that they will be trained on warehouse material handling equipment
  • Ability to understand, speak, read, and write clearly in basic English
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Able to handle high email volume with strong communication skills
  • Ability to effectively multi task and change direction
  • Candidate must be highly organized and with ability to prioritize with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • WMS knowledge preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Establishing and maintaining professional relationships within internal and external customers
  • Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • The writing of reports and correspondence
  • Mathematical computational skills are required to understand daily workload
  • A high attention to detail and the ability to compare incoming returns against Return to Vendor shipments
  • The provision of good customer service internally and externally
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed including days regularly scheduled off, such as weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift 30lbs unassisted
