PURPOSE: We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager who is keen to grow and support the US wholesale business. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
The Business Development Manager is enthusiastic, organized, efficient, excels in a fast-paced environment, and has excellent knowledge of the brands and collaborations we work with.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for major trade and specialty store partners
  • Establish credible relationships with accounts, liaising with buying and planning offices
  • Prepare and present seasonal product strategies, plans, and management summaries for retailer senior management meetings
  • Hosting Market quarterly in NYC with wholesale team; assist with creating line sheets and uploads to NuOrder: Curate customized assortments targeted toward each specific account
  • Drive market appointments; contribute to buy-making decisions with conclusive analytics
  • Meet and exceed sales and shipping goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Research and outreach to new target accounts
  • Partner with operations team to deliver timely and complete orders to accounts
  • Consistently analysing sales data, such as classification analysis and market share, looking for both growth and missed opportunities

THE PERSON:

  • 2-4 years of sales experience within apparel/ sportswear wholesale
  • Passion for the Fred Perry brand
  • A team player with strong relationships with buyers and leadership in the marketplace
  • A creative thinker with excellent communication and presentation skills; Detail oriented
  • Strong planning and forecasting skills; Must be highly proficient in Retail Math, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook; Experience with NuOrder is a plus
  • Flexibility to travel as needed to support the needs of the business
