Job Overview: The Senior Manager of International Marketing and Tourism will foster local and national relationships with the travel industry to increase traffic and sales at Bloomindale's key tourism stores throughout the country by working closely with the store partners to develop and execute the Bloomingdale's tourism strategy. This individual will also manage Bloomingdale's online international sales. The Senior Manager will be responsible for keeping up to date with the latest trends and best practices underpinning tourism and global e-commerce to develop strategic marketing initiatives focused on priority markets.

Essential Functions:
  • Oversee and initiate Bloomingdale's tourism strategy to ensure the program's success
  • Manage the tourism budget and use data-driven decision making to determine allocation of resources
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts based on trends
  • Prioritize key source tourism markets and stores to proactively develop tailored marketing campaigns elevating Bloomingdale's awareness among travelers
  • Redefine in-store experiences to help drive traffic and conversion
  • Negotiate proposals with key decision-makers and follow through on program execution, from concept to completion, including briefing creative projects, working with cross-functional marketing teams on key campaigns
  • Manage marketing initiatives including the international affiliate program, influencer marketing and paid media campaigns
  • Monitor US and international tourism statistics, projections, and trends, and develop an understanding of local tourism trends
  • Maintain visible presence within the tourism community nationally and locally

Qualifications and Competencies:

Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university

3-5 years related experience
  • Knowledge of international e-commerce and good grounding in data analysis
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
  • Ability to work independently and with agility in a changing tourism environment
  • Strong creative and execution skills to be able to manage multichannel programs and campaigns
  • Good analytical capabilities with a keen ability to generate actionable insights from data sets
  • Demonstrates strong cross-functional leadership capabilities with the ability to influence, be a team player, and interface effectively across teams
  • Adept in project management
  • Multilingual preferred - Spanish and/or Chinese preferred

Physical Requirements:
  • Requires prolonged periods of sitting, with occasional standing
  • Occasionally requires walking, bending, reaching, hearing, and talking
  • Continuous use of computers and other office equipment
  • Frequently lift/move up to 10 lbs.
