POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Corporate Strategy & Business Development is a key member of PVH's Corporate Strategy & Business Development team, reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Strategy & Business Development. This team is responsible for developing corporate strategy and ensuring execution of strategic initiatives. The Manager will assist in all facets of corporate strategy formulation and planning, special strategic / transformation projects and business development activities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
  • Analyze and synthesize vast amounts of information, understand the details supporting the analysis and transform data into actionable insights
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of the industry and market trends, competitive landscape, and consumers and deliver business and market insights to facilitate decision-making and enable execution
  • Bring an analytical foundation to all work; partner and coordinate across the organization to support the strategic planning process and define initiative scope, success metrics, and high-level milestones
  • Assist in the identification, research, evaluation, due diligence and integration of acquisitions, partnerships, investments and other business ventures on a global basis, across business groups
  • Support monitoring of market M&A activities, licensee / JV partners' performance as well as relevant acquisition prospects
  • Prepare financial models (scenario analyses, DCF, LBO, valuation, M&A) and develop business cases and plans
  • Perform competitive benchmarking and industry trend research and analysis
  • Prepare presentations for board of directors, senior management, and other internal teams, on various topics including strategic direction, opportunities and updates on execution and transactions

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:
  • 3+ years of investment banking, consulting and/or in-house corporate finance & strategy experience
  • Strong strategic financial and business analysis experience
  • Project management, leadership and solid ability to problem-solve creatively
  • Experience driving broad, cross-functional, cross-market strategic initiatives from definition to execution in a complex, matrixed organization, marrying both quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Deep and nuanced understanding of the apparel/fashion industry including brick-and-mortar, ecommerce, and wholesale channels

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics (or MBA) preferred

Skills:
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative, with ability to structure analysis, synthesize and interpret business data
  • Financial analyses and modeling skills including scenario analyses, DCF, and LBO and ability to develop a business case with qualitative and quantitative analyses
  • Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Deep understanding of financial statements
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to tell a story on a page
  • Ability to see the big picture and be in the weeds at the same time
  • High attention to detail to create executive level materials
  • Ability to work under tight timelines and act with a sense of urgency to challenging work and deadlines; always delivering on commitment
  • Proactive, multi-tasking self-starter; consistently driven by highest standards of quality and passionate about delivering value to the team and the Company
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt and go with the flow
  • Strong relationship building skills and able to collaborate at all levels
  • Passion for the fashion industry or branded consumer goods
