Footwear Designer

Paris Georgia is seeking a freelance Footwear Designer to join its team. This role will lead the design and development process of the footwear range. The ideal candidate has shoe design experience in the luxury and/or contemporary market. 

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage all phases of design 
- Create sketches, colour mockups and technical drawings 
- Work alongside the in house design team to develop and refine seasonal concepts.
- Propose and select seasonal materials that are innovative and in line with the brand's sustainability needs. 
- Ensure design integrity and high-quality execution throughout the entire development process from concept to final samples
- Follow timeline and process guidelines, with the ability to work on multiple seasons simultaneously
- Be proactive during development and support developers with high standard design solutions that are commercially viable
- Balance creative thinking with commercial viability by fulfilling design directional and merchandising brief

Requirements:

- Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent work experience
- Footwear design experience working for a luxury brand minimum three years 
- Ability to sketch both technical drawings 
- Understanding of development from concept through engineering
- Strong knowledge of the material, hardware and footwear construction
- Manufacturer contacts is a bonus 

- London based is a bonus
