Department Description:

Calvin Klein Accessories is a fast- paced, and energetic place to work. We are a growing brand in Europe, and we have a very large business in Asia and North America. The brand is gaining momentum, and we are looking for talented, high energy, and passionate individuals to join our team

Position Description and responsibilities:

As Studio manager for Accessories working in the Calvin Klein Sportswear Division, you will be responsible for overseeing the logistical process for the Men's and Women's, design team of LLG's SLG's and soft accessories.

You will report into and support the Design Director for Accessories by managing the day to day tasks of the Accessories Design Team. You must have a wide professional knowledge of design team management within the Accessories world. You will manage the day to day activities of a team of 7 designers. You will work closely with the developers from the development team, merchandise team, and the Accessories Design Director for the planning and development of the collection each season. You will ensure that the design team executes the seasonal range plans following the creative brief from the VP of Design and the

Design Director of Accessories for review.

You will facilitate the design team to complete the Men's and Women's accessories collection together with a team of developers. Responsibility lies in facilitating the creation of exciting product for the men's and women's accessories collection with fashion elements such as; masculine and feminine details. This will focus on managing workload and the critical path. You are responsible to deliver elevated commercial product that will drive the growth of the collection year on year.

Along with other tasks you will be responsible for:

• Reporting into the Senior Design Director

• This role is the link between our Design Team, Product Development, Merchandising, Marketing, Cross Divisional communication - driving the projects cross organizations and stakeholders.

• Seasonal budget management; travel, sample, style outs, models

• You will be responsible for the organizational overview across CK Sportswear Accessories - Collections and Collaborations. Ensuring all deadlines are met within the calendar by project, maintaining sufficient workflows throughout the calendar process and maintaining close relationships with internal/external stakeholders.

• Researching trends and performing market research that works into the

Calvin Klein accessories brand aesthetic

• Following input from the Accessories Design Director, VP of Design and

senior management alongside the design team, develop concepts and themes according to design brief including artwork ideas, fabrics, and silhouettes for sportswear related product.

• Create and manage the design team calendar

• Manage the design team's work flow in order for the critical path to be

adhered to.

• Communicate ideas and designs to development team and initiate the

process of development

• Working to the Divisional Calendar to meet deadlines.

• Manage the preparation of all design sheets for divisional presentations

and to focus on following up of each style

• Have a strong attention to detail

• Manage the preparation of all selected and confirmed styles to be

computerized and design sheets completed to a high standard for

sending to buying offices globally, inputting into PLM system

• Working closely and communicate daily on issues and changes that arise from the development of designs selected. You will also partner with the product developer to ensure a smooth work flow each season when executing each style

• Making sure that the Calvin Klein Sportswear aesthetic is seen in each

item.

• Working closely with Tech Department for the executing of the items

quality and construction.

• To make sure all styles are to the highest standard, help find solutions to

any problems that may come up in the fitting process.

• Work closely with Accessories Development and Merchandising teams for seasonal assortment under the guidance of the Design Director and senior management.

• Being open, friendly and flexible; the accessories division is very much about team work and showing enthusiasm for this growing area

Requirements:

• Experience in managing a team before (at least 5 people).

• Design management experience with accessories

• A background in Product development is ideal

• Passion for accessories is a must!

• Eye for details with an extensive knowledge of fit and construction

• Technical construction knowledge skills is a must

• Graduated at a degree level or equivalent

• Excellent computer skills (Illustrator/Photoshop) & hand drawn skills

• Is able to work under pressure and changeable environment with strict deadlines

• Fluent in English both written and verbal as English is the working language of the company

• Travel to Europe & Asia for supplier visits for handover

• Knowledge of PLM system style management system

• Strong organizational skills are a must

• Sound understanding of LLG, SLG and soft accessories

• Love for accessories and their construction from Heritage to Modern

and contemporary items with a branded point of view

• Strong attention to detail

To be successful in this position you need to have solid experience in design team management and logistics. A good understanding of trends and the ability to translate them into a commercial product range. It is important that you are able to work independently as well as in a team and that you also enjoy working in a busy, changeable environment.
