About

The BFC is looking for an enthusiastic Digital Communications Assistant to join the Communications team helping to deliver and execute the global marketing strategy across the company’s full portfolio of projects, events and initiatives; including London Fashion Week, Institute of Positive Fashion and The Fashion Awards.

 

We speak to a social community of over 3 million global users across 13 channels of industry, consumers and individuals highly engaged in the fashion industry, to tell the stories of the member and patron network, London Fashion Week designers and more. We are looking for a forward thinking and socially minded person, that’s excited about the development of digital channels and how they can be used for building network, community and value.

 

 

Responsibilities

Social Media

 

  • Support in publishing content across all BFC social media channels including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter Support with the coordinate social media activations alongside wider team for large projects and at events i.e London Fashion Week Apply best practises across content publishing specific to social media channels Assist with generating creative ideas for social first-content including campaign assets, real-time videos and copy Copywriting for social media channels, working closely with the wider communications team to ensure it aligns with the brand tone of voice and the key messaging Engage with and monitor the existing online communities, working with the communications team to highlight anything that needs further action Assist in the execution of partnership specific social campaigns Gather and prepare content from the relevant teams to ensure that publishing takes place within a timely manner Planning and content calendar assistance for the department Assisting with BFC social media channels including maintaining and growing the network of fans and followers and researching new innovation marketing ideas You will be involved in planning of social campaigns, briefing of creative requirements, to drafting, proofing, organising sign off and publishing content

Admin

 

  • Work across admin to support the digital marketing team, updating digital communications calendars and aligning key dates from across the business Leading on updates across a centralised digital communications calendar

 

Creative

  • Research relevant content trends and potential publishing streams, with suggestions for media to share and support Work closely with the brand marketing and creative teams to maintain brand look and feel and contribute suggestions for social first content

Reporting

  • Alongside the Digital Communications Executive, analyse and report on success on a weekly, monthly and seasonal basis including future recommendations to test Attend British Fashion Council events and content creation opportunities to generate authentic behind the scenes content

Business Skills:

 

  • Assisting the communications team in all activity Maintaining and developing positive and strong working relationships with BFC network of agencies, digital partners, internal BFC departments, designers and PRs Delivering individual tasks whilst maintaining focus on overall company objectives Drives best practice behaviours and works as a team to meet BFC’s objectives to maintain integrity and reputation Represents the BFC and acts as an ambassador at events, corporate initiatives, networking, etc.

  • Proven experience or educational background focused on digital marketing Sound knowledge of social channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube Excellent written and spoken level of English essential Strong knowledge of IT and creative eye Strong familiarity of a broad range of social platforms and its uses

 

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary Band: Subject to experience 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays + Christmas eve + half day birthday Summer Hours (July & August) Company Pension Contribution Standard company working hours, flexibility required during events, exhibitions, etc.
