Assistant Buyer, Retail - Calvin Klein

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Buyer supports the Buyer in the assortment and procurement of merchandise, provides business analysis summaries and competitive marketplace knowledge to maximize sales.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

• Assist the Buyer in the assortment selection and purchase of merchandise to maximize sales.

• Own accurate receipt tracking and management.

• Responsible for the life cycle of purchase orders; initial set up, follow up on purchase order entry, communication of any changes, tracking/reconciling/reporting receipt of merchandise.

• Monitor sales and inventory on a weekly basis and report out to the team weekly.

• Assist in preparing markdowns, floor plans and open to buys.

• Sample Management; tracking samples, keeping racks in order, reviewing all TOP's with Senior Buyer, preparing samples for presentations with Sr. Buyer and Leadership team.

• Manage all operational and administrative functions to ensure smooth operation in the buying department.

• Build and maintains relationships amongst cross functional partners; Develops relationship with PDG team and follows up on key business issues and opportunities.

•Develop strong skills in business programs in working with IP and the Cube.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Buying or Merchandising, Store experience a plus

Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field

Skills:

• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Positive nature and team oriented
• Strength in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel & PowerPoint experience essential
