DESIGN TEAM ASSISTANT

Special Occasion apparel brand is seeking a dynamic, highly organized, and enthusiastic candidate to assist the design team. In addition to an interest in fashion, the right candidate should be data-driven, self motivated, and eager to learn. A successful candidate will have strong communication skills and thrive in a fast paced, team oriented environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist Design Team Create mood boards and do trend research Fabric, trim and embellishment research Maintain swatch library and follow up with vendors for fabric requests Assign style number to sketches, and maintain sketch catalogue throughout the year Track sample though the entire process from initial sketch to its arrival in the sample room Work with Design Team to transcribe design notes and spec information onto sketch or sample order Create and maintain design calendar Retrieve and organize vendor photos Communicate with sales and e-commerce to produce regular sales reports in a visual format Assist Design staff with vendor communication Sample Room organization and maintenance

A successful candidate will possess the following:

• Basic hand drawing skills a plus but not required Associate or Bachelor's Degree in fashion related area Proficient in Procreate, Excel and Google Drive An understanding of the sample to production process Ability to think both creatively and strategically Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, and strong follow-up skills Ability to work in a face paced, high volume, sku intensive environment Ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound decisions; naturally biased toward action while remaining calm in a high-pressure environment

**This is an onsite role, must be able to work in person 5 days a week
