About the Role

This position is the key support to the Manager for ensuring that all transactions happen in a timely and accurate manner within the CSSC organization and all Accounts Receivable balances are accurately stated monthly. Conducts and documents complex financial analysis projects within Revenue Accounting. Recommends and implements policies and procedures. Provides direction and development to Accounts Receivable staff.

What You'll Do

• Supervise financial and operational processes and internal controls related to Accounts Receivable including - Strategic Growth Initiatives, Corporate Gift Cards, Wholesale and Vendor Rebate Programs
• Participate in the development of operational processes and controls in support of new business and growth initiatives
• Ensure all team close processes are completed within established timelines. This includes preparation and/or review and approve month end journal entries, reconciliation of accounts receivable balances and underlying transactions, as well as other close related activities
• Create and foster a team culture of continuous improvement. This includes the evaluation of existing process to identify opportunities to create efficiencies and enhancements, finding alternative ways to achieve objectives when faced with obstacles, and leading your team act upon these opportunities
• Develop a comprehensive knowledge of Revenue Accounting operational and systemic flows to support your team, communicate risks to management, and participate in system and process redesigns as needed with an emphasis on control
• Develops team through career planning, skills development, and improving the overall work environment. Engage in goal setting with your team, conduct regular performance reviews, and mentor team to achieve objectives
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including communicating procedures, risk mitigation, and process controls to internal and external auditors

Who You Are

• Strong analytical skills as demonstrated by GL to SL variance analysis, forecast to actuals variance analysis, and similar concepts
• Ability to understand complex financial systems and applications, and quickly gain expertise in them. Experience with finance ERP systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and being able to communicate effectively and persuasively with all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to drive results and achieve goals with minimal direction, for both self and department projects
• Able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Able to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners
• Able to motivate, coach, and develop team thru meaningful goal setting and conversations
• Demonstrated understanding of accounting and financial reporting, financial controls, risks, and mitigation of risk
• Able to navigate and run queries in Access and create pivot tables, complete V-lookups, and use functions in Excel
