POSITION SUMMARY
The Product Management Team is looking for a Digital Product Director for Bergdorf Goodman who is both experienced in product execution and passionate about driving the next level of growth through product-led thinking. This role will lead several product teams who advocate for the needs of the customer and then partners with commercial, design and engineering teams to deliver digital experiences to solve customers' needs and drive business growth. Excellent product instincts, a passion for creating great experiences, a data-centric mindset, agile ways of working, and a results-oriented mindset are critical attributes for this role.
The key responsibilities for the Product Director will be to drive the product roadmap and execution of enhancements to the core buying journeys on bergdorfgoodman.com and iOS/Android mobile apps to improve conversion rates and customer satisfaction. Strong experience in prioritization is critical to ground delivery across multiple strategies, including customer acquisition, activation, and retention, international growth, and evolution to Farfetch Platform Solutions (FPS).

Primary Responsibilities:
- Drive topline growth through conversion rate improvements in close partnership with commercial and strategy teams to effectively prioritize initiatives
- Deliver the BG roadmap within time, budget, and quality standards. Lead the continued optimization of the roadma, incorporating analytics, customer feedback, and market opportunities
- Lead a team of Product Managers, managing individual performance and providing hands-on PM and coaching support to ensure the team delivers against target business impacts
- Amplify customer strategy working in close alignment with audience management, CRM and lifecycle marketing teams
- Partner with Design teams and external partners to conduct user research and generate customers insights necessary to develop product strategy
- Build cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders and align product roadmaps and outcomes to key strategies
- Elevate the product management function through analytical thinking, culture of ownership and accountability, and embracing a leadership role through all stages of the product lifecycle
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ Years of experience with 3+ years' experience managing teams and direct reports in Product Management or Software delivery
- Previous experience as a Product Manager, with a proven track record of delivering successful customer facing site features and improvements that drive business value
- Experience in product execution for consumer-facing digital products in e-commerce or multi-channel retail settings
- Strong customer-orientation and empathy for users' needs, and experience with frameworks that translate insights and research into actions and results
- Excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and great at problem-solving
- Strategic, creative thinker with a track record of good judgement and decision making
- Passion for working in a fast pace agile digital environment is a must!
- Solid technical understanding and/or hands-on experience in eCommerce
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills are a must
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to create transparency and partnership
- Self-motivated and results-oriented and effective at collaboration
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ Years of experience with 3+ years' experience managing teams and direct reports in Product, Customer Experience, User Experience Design, and/or Software delivery.
- Experience at e-commerce brands, top-tier consulting firms, or investment banks useful but not required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from a reputable institution.
- Passion for working in a fast pace agile digital environment is a must! Retail ecommerce experience or digital marketing experience required. Specific experience in Mobile Apps space
- Relevant agile software development and Product Manager experience with proven track record of delivering successful customer facing site features and improvements.
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
- Excellent analytical skills with an understanding of Web Analytics, engagement KPI's and a mature understanding of how to build business cases, measure benefits and communicate results to Sr. Leadership.
- Superior relationship building with cross-functional teams to deliver results through excellent partnership, communication and negotiating skills
- High level of attention to detail with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams, communicate effectively, adjust priorities based on business results, and work in a continuously changing environment to meet critical deadlines
- Highly motivated to be develop teams and manage ongoing performance of direct reports.
- Experience conceptualizing, evaluating and negotiating 3rd party strategic partnerships
- Delivered quantifiable results through a product team on multiple occasions
- Strong strategic, creative thinking and decision-making skills
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to deliver expected results on time
- Must have extremely strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain and develop internal and external relationships; collaborating across multiple business and technology functions, relationship building and consensus building are essential
- Self-motivated and results oriented individual able to work independently and also work collaboratively with a team
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization, and communicate with technical and non-technical audience
- Experience and enthusiasm for testing, analyzing, and iterating on bold growth tactics for web & mobile commerce.
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate teams on key initiatives and work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment.
- Deep understanding of, and empathy for users.
