SAMPLE MACHINIST - NEW YORK BASED
DION LEE is looking for a Sample Machinist to join their New York design team, working closely with the Designers and Development team across seasonal and runway collections.
Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Production of sample garments in-house
- Follow fabric, color and size information from designers, pattern makers and cutters
- Execute garment construction in a timely manner whilst maintaining superb quality finishes
- Collaborate and communicate with team to ensure design intent is realised
- Ironing of garments
Key Skills:
- Excellent sewing skills (hand and machine)
- A flexible and creative approach
- Knowledge of production methods
- An understanding of fabric types and their uses
- An interest in design and a strong understanding of design methods
- The ability to communicate ideas clearly
