Freelance Design Assistant

Responsibilities
•    Work closely with creative director to pass seasonal styles sketches, notes, and BOMs to patternmaker and PD
•    Communicate seasonal ideas to trim and embellishment designers
•    Execute concept and development on all categories across mainline and couture through sketching, draping, and swatch mockups
•    Produce technical drawings and update sketch revisions from proto to SMS
•    Work with in-house atelier and domestic factories to ensure each style is executed with accuracy
•    Responsible for updating design and inspiration boards
•    Participate in fittings for development and production
•    Ensure key deliverables for design are respected per the development calendar
•    Participate in custom/VIP/special projects as needed

Qualifications
•    2-5+ years experience in RTW Design
•    Highly proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator
•    Strong sketching and draping skills
•    Knowledge of garment construction and fit with strong attention to detail
•    Must have a solution driven mindset with strong problem-solving skills
•    Flexible and adaptive to a multi-tasked environment
•    Experience in luxury or contemporary brands preferred
