Assistant Technical Designer

Jonathan Simkhai is looking for an Assistant Technical Designer to assistant in the Production Department at a growing Fashion brand.

 Responsibilities:

• Prepare & Attend fit sessions, measuring and preparing fit samples.
• Inspect all samples received from SMS to TOP samples in a timely manner.
• Document clear and precise notes during fitting.
• Review TOP's and communicate comments to vendors.
• Daily maintenance of tracking reports: through communication via email, updating fit samples that are shipped and received
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.
• Effective time management and ability to stay organized
• Able to be self-motivated, quick learner and adapt to change well.

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Product Development Fashion Design, Buying, Tech Design, Merchandising or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years’ experience in technical design, fitting, and spec packages
• Knowledge of how to measure garments.
• Knowledge of garment construction
• Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft office
• Must be able and willing to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
• Enthusiastic and willing to learn
