Job mission

Based in Paris, the Marketplace Specialist will be ensuring the smooth lifecycle of Maison Margiela products on its Marketplace partners' platforms in order to support the online development of the brand. The Marketplace Specialist will report directly to the Marketplace Manager on topics as varied as: buying/merchandising, catalogue creation, visual production, marketing campaigns and operations (orders and returns).

Job responsibilities and activities

Directly reporting to Marketplace Manager the Marketplace Specialist has the following main responsibilities:

  • Seasonal buyings and Carryover replenishment - Provide thorough analysis in order to assess the marketplace channel's product needs with precision.
  • Catalogue creation and follow-up - Oversee the catalogue creation flows in partnership with our IT teams. Throughout the seasons, close monitoring of the integrity of our offer on our partners' platforms.
  • Visual production - Coordinate the product shootings and ensure compliance with our partners' visual guidelines
  • Product descriptions - Manage the product descriptions flows with copywriters and translation services.
  • Marketing - Work hand in hand with the Maison's communication team in order to achieve the successful completion of our marketing strategies.
  • Operations - In collaboration with the Retail team, ensure the smooth running of orders/returns operations with all our stockpoints. Implement improvement plans when needed.
  • Product lifecycle and strategy - Oversee the complete lifecycle of our offer on our marketplace partners, from launch to markdown. Ensure alignment with the Maison's retail and e-commerce teams.

Skills and experience

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the fashion industry. Strong interest for product and a good understanding of online KPIs and analytics tools.
    Knowledge in digital marketing, business management and merchandising would be valuable assets.
  • Solution driven. Strong team player. Good communication skills. Capacity to collaborate with various departments.
  • English mandatory, French, Italian is a plus.
