We are looking for a bright and driven individual to join us and manage the trading of our online store. The Senior E-commerce Manager will be a crucial part of a small, entrepreneurial team in a fast-growing company based in London, W1. The right candidate will have a proven track record in driving successful E-commerce activities and will approach the role entrepreneurially, with the opportunity to directly contribute the company’s success, working at the core of the leadership team closely with the Managing Director, Creative Director, Digital Editor and Digital Marketing Manager.

This role reports to the Managing Director and currently has one direct report (E-commerce Executive).

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Own the online trading of the site
  • Lead on the research, preparation, and implementation of all E-commerce development projects
  • Work closely with the Digital Editor to develop and implement all digital content on site and in campaigns
  • Responsible for thorough QA and testing of all projects and content on the website
  • Build a thorough understanding of the technology E-commerce eco-system - web platform, web apps, ESP, analytics, OMS, WMS – so to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the online store and offer insights for optimisations
  • Manage the implementation of the email marketing strategy and be responsible for the planning, briefing, and scheduling of all email campaigns
  • Ensure the preparation and timely upload of new products plus the upload of assets and content to the website - preparing the website for all relevant marketing campaigns plus weekly merchandising
  • Work closely with the logistics and product teams to ensure deliveries are uploaded quickly and efficiently – understanding products thoroughly so to optimise selling opportunities and campaigns
  • Develop SEO strategy and ensure SEO fundamentals and guidelines are followed
  • Ownership of our CRM program, including data capture, analysing, and strategizing retention marketing opportunities
  • At all times, monitor website’s performance, highlighting issues but also opportunities for improvements
  • Compile and provide weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports on the website performance and customers
  • Manage the third-party warehouse fulfilment team relationship, ensuring smooth communication and operations and resolving any escalations
  • Oversee customer care, including managing the work of E-commerce Executive and future Customer Care Assistant(s), ensuring all enquiries are responded to in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Work with the customer care assistant to lead on the development and execution of a clientele program
  • Full P&L responsibility of the E-commerce channel

Personal Competencies/Skills

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in similar role in E-commerce, ideally on Shopify in a headless CMS environment
  • Experience project managing and performing the QA on ecommerce development projects
  • An understanding of UX principles and a customer-centred approach to tasks
  • Experience with CRM and email marketing including flows and segmentations
  • Fundamental understanding and experience with SEO
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Advance skills with Google Analytics or equivalent tools
  • Experience from the US market greatly beneficial
  • Experience with Google Data Studio, Microsoft Tableau or other reporting tools highly beneficial
  • Experience from another luxury brand greatly beneficial
  • Basic skills in Photoshop greatly beneficial
