The Role

We are looking for a Senior Performance Marketing Executive to join our world-class Growth team. Reporting to the Performance Marketing Manager, the Senior Performance Marketing Executive will accelerate our rapidly growing community of buyers and sellers via digital purchase and acquisition driving activity. Ownership of the execution, optimisation and reporting across Paid Search and Shopping channels with contribution into overarching strategy.

We’re looking for a Search and Shopping Specialist with a proven track record of setting up and scaling activity in a dynamic e-commerce retail environment.

The Senior Performance Marketing Executive will support work on the execution, optimisation and implementation of our PPC based marketing strategies. We are looking for someone innovative with attention to detail to ensure excellent implementation and execution of all campaigns.

We are looking for someone that loves data and is data-driven as this person will also be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis to optimise our activity, drive ROI positive activations using our bespoke Incremental Value Model and Multi-Touch Attribution and report back to the business on the impact. 

We are also looking for a team player who loves collaborating cross-functionally as this role is in the centre of things and will work closely and holistically with various teams within Depop such as Brand Marketing, MarTech, Insights, Data Science, CRM & SEO.


This person will take ownership of selected paid marketing activity end-to-end including:

  • Focus primarily on Search and Shopping marketing executions and optimisations in conjunction with Performance colleagues and Agency Partners ensuring we hit our collective targets
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Data exploration in order to further develop activity and troubleshoot any problems
  • Optimise all activity in order to meet growth marketing goals
  • Working closely with our in-house Insights team and data visualisation tools, take ownership of PPC reporting and develop it to business requirements
  • Develop processes in order to streamline activity such as budget tracking, results sharing, optimisation flows
  • Manage 3rd party agencies
  • Assist on driving and developing our testing plan
  • Identify and communicate insights cross-functionally


  • 2+ Years experience working in PPC/ SEM
  • Passionate about PPC, Google Shopping activity and innovation
  • Advanced knowledge of PPC and Shopping platforms is critical
  • Strong Feed Optimisation skills along with strategy into how this works into Shopping structures
  • Strong strategic mindset - you must be able to think big and small picture at the same time.
  • Experience of using HTML and Javascript
  • Experience implementing brand new strategies and scaling them to business goals
  • Love of all things data. Strong analytical capabilities and a Google Sheet / Excel /Looker user are a must
  • Proactive and eager to learn attitude, with the capacity for independent initiative
  • A creative thinker - able to always keep Depop ahead of the curve
  • Great team player and positive thinking
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships and collaboration in cross-functional teams


  • Previous experience on App first businesses
  • Experience in an e-commerce or marketplace model
  • Worked in an advanced PPC environment incorporating custom bidding rules, use of 3rd party bidding tools
  • Go the extra mile with data - knowledge of SQL, Python, Java, etc.
  • Experience across multiple performance marketing channels outside of Paid Search
  • Agency management experience
  • Affinity for Depop and the streetwear/vintage/clothing world
