Maison Margiela is a Paris-based fashion house founded in 1988 by Belgian designer Martin Margiela. John Galliano was named Creative Director of the house in 2014, bringing his sense of spectacle and creative mastery to the unique ethos of Maison Margiela. Whilst developing his own vision for the house, John Galliano has entirely respected the Martin Margiela state of mind, creating a fascinating organic process.

Job mission

To support the day-to-day activities of our Human Resources department and our recruiting and onboarding activities while helping HR team to hire efficiently and keep the hiring process running.

Job responsibilities and activities

The Admin & Recruitment Specialist has the following main responsibilities:

- Maintaining physical and digital personnel records like employment contracts and others administrative documents
- Manage the HRIS system & update internal databases with new hire information
- Prepare paperwork for HR policies and procedures
- Process employees' requests and provide relevant information
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal communications
- Create and publish job ads in various portals
- Network with potential hires through professional groups on social media and during school events
- Collaborate with hiring managers to set qualification criteria for future employees
- Screen resumes and job applications
- Conduct initial phone screens to create shortlists of qualified candidates
- Interview candidates for internships
- Follow up with candidates throughout the hiring process

Skills and experience

- Proven experience as Admin & Recruitment Assistant or another HR-related role
- Familiarity with HR administration & hiring practices and stages (screening, interview, assessment, onboarding)
- Experience using recruiting software as Success Factor and social networks for recruiting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Great attention to detail
- Outstanding communication skills
- Problem-solving ability
- Bachelor or master's degree in HR, Business or relevant field
- Fluent in French & English
