The Director- FP&A, Corporate Functions will be responsible for providing financial leadership and partnership to all Corporate Functions with a strong focus on IT and Marketing organizations by assisting in & developing financial budgets and forecast that effectively allocate and manage resources in support of the Company's strategic and financial objectives. This includes leading the development of the annual Budget cycle and Strategic Plan (including capital expenditures) as well as fostering an environment of continuous financial analysis and rigor regarding strategies and investment decisions to maximize profitability and resources allocation.

This individual will be responsible for:
  • Business Partnership
    • First and foremost, be a clear operating partner and advisor to the IT, Marketing and other functions by providing guidance, direction and recommendations to enable delivery of priority objectives in a financial effective manner
    • Drive and develop ad hoc financial analysis adapted to the respective organization as well as the group reporting to provide insights that influence strategies and investment decisions to maximize profitability
    • Partner with the IT, Marketing and Procurement teams in reviewing and entering into agreements with external vendors, when necessary
  • Development of the Annual Budget process, for Operating Expenses and Capital Expenditures which includes on top of monthly recurring analysis, 2 annual revisions:
  • Lead and own the development of the annual profit plan, capital plan and monthly forecast
  • Prepare and present materials associated with the financial plans in a concise and informative manner
  • Conduct monthly reviews of financial performance and implement appropriate strategies to achieve objectives in coordination with functional leaders
  • Analyze and project Corporate headcounts and associated staff costs in partnership with HR
  • Coordinate specific collect & analysis on Marketing Spend, on geographical or a by nature basis thru dedicated tracker(s)
    • Enhance current process
    • Develop further analytics
  • Effective Processes
    • Ensure effective financial processes in support of the IT and Marketing functions; foster a continuous improvement environment identifying and implementing new or enhanced processes, with current or future tools
  • Lead, Coach and Develop the Team
    • Lead the IT and Marketing finance teams by:
      • Ensuring the appropriate organizational structure and skill sets are in place to meet business needs;
      • Developing the current talent and closing any skill gaps in order to maximize potential and develop succession plans;
      • Creating an environment of coaching and development that supports skill and career development and promotes employee engagement

To Be Qualified for This Position, Candidates Must Have:
  • An undergraduate degree in accounting, business, finance
  • 12+ Years of finance experience, heavily focused on business partnership in financial planning and analysis;
  • Creative thinker with a willingness to challenge the current way of doing things; ability and willingness to drive change and think out of the box
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to work with senior management or department/ business units leaders
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial metrics into operational insight
  • Strategic thinker and a proven operating partner and advisor that drives impact beyond financials
  • Ability to work on multiple, complex projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines
  • Experience coaching and managing employees
  • Ability to work independently with limited oversight/direction
  • Ideally proficient in Microsoft Office applications and technology tools such as Business Objects and Hyperion Planning


Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA
  • Retail Industry experience preferred
  • Experience Supporting Corporate Functions with, among others, large IT or Marketing functions
