Position Overview
The Manager, Wholesale Marketing, Women's is a key role within the Women's division, responsible for managing all marketing activities to support our Women's, Footwear & Licensed North America Wholesale businesses. The Marketing Manager will work on the development, launch and measurement of impactful 360-degree campaigns, through alignment with key business partners, to uphold Polo Women's brand vision and support the Women's core/fashion business strategies. Success in the role will be contingent on an ability to leverage the brand's myriad of cross-functional resources, a strong knowledge of both consumers and prospects, a passion for Women's apparel, curiosity around events in pop culture, a thoughtful eye on the competitive landscape, and an in-depth understanding of the evolving media and digital landscape. The primary objective of the role will be to drive the brand strategy of the Women's business, constantly elevate the desirability of Lauren Ralph Lauren to acquire new and engage existing consumers, and drive sales across all channels. The Manager, Wholesale Marketing, Women's will partner with global marketing, sales, retail development and merchandising to understand key strategies being developed for each retail partner and ensure our marketing activities further support these initiatives. This role will also collaborate with the Content & Operations team to ensure an elevated ecomm presence and implement performance marketing initiatives to further support our marketing goals. With guidance from the Lead, Marketing, this role will collaborate on seasonal and campaign strategy development and take the lead on oversight and execution of all related activations. The Marketing Manager will also be responsible for reporting campaign learnings, successes and key metrics - ultimately making thoughtful and strategic recommendations on how to best impact future seasons to drive sales and broaden brand awareness. This includes maintaining the marketing budget, leading the seasonal collateral development process and planning/executing marketing placements and campaigns to ensure our elevated brand position is maintained across all third-party retailers. This role requires a high level of organization and attention to detail with the capacity to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Build brand desirability & help develop marketing strategies to support the business goals of our wholesale channels, specifically North America department stores, specialty stores and digital pure plays
* Support Lead, Marketing on the alignment of strategic marketing campaigns and lead omnichannel activations; projects and initiatives include:
* Experiential Activations
* Digital and Social Marketing Campaigns
* Print and Co-op Advertising
* OOH Marketing
* In-store Collateral
* Asset Creation
* Events
* Performance Marketing
* Limited Edition Campaigns
* Evaluate customer segmentation and micro-targeting based on customer insights
* Liaise with Licensee teams on seasonal marketing plans to ensure strategies support brand initiatives and elevation efforts; identify opportunities to scale programs in partnership with licensed categories
* Act as a key contact for internal and external teams in the development, execution and communication of marketing materials to support all strategic wholesale marketing needs:
* Clearly write strategic creative briefs
* Manage budgets and timelines
* Collaborate with wholesale accounts and internal sales, planning, merchandising, customer insights, advertising, global marketing, retail development and digital content & operations teams
* Manage the development and execution of seasonal collateral including:
* Serve as Wholesale liaison for each seasonal style out process - support advertising and global marketing team in executing our seasonal collateral shoots
* Manage product ownership and approval process with Division Presidents to provide shot list feedback
* Manage catalog participation process by confirming co-op funds, product selection and catalog position, securing model approval and samples, and managing creative approval process
* Develop knowledge of wholesale business, including competitive landscape, and proactively seek out marketing insights and consumer trends to support the business and help establish best practices
* Partner with other Families of Business to execute cross-divisional programs that build brand awareness and drive sales
* Collaborate with Digital Content & Operations team on alignment and execution of performance marketing initiatives to meet seasonal strategies
* Budget & Project Tracking
* Manage all aspects of the marketing budget and billing process
* Ensure all current and upcoming marketing activities are recorded and updated with final visuals and results
* Meeting / Presentations
* Lead marketing meetings with cross-functional teams
* Participate in weekly meetings with brand management to review status of current projects
* Prepare and deliver presentations for a variety of audiences, including seasonal planning and recap decks
* Partner with Lead, Marketing in creating presentations for senior management and Sales Training as needed
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
* Demonstrated ability to lead successful campaigns, from strategic development to implementation and analysis
* Must be organized, a self-starter, and have strong interpersonal skills to work effectively and build strong relationships with business partners
* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
* Strategic mindset, solid analytical skills and understanding of retail math, and ability to make recommendations and troubleshoot based on data
* Strong project management skills; highly organized and detail oriented
* Proven innovator with fluency in digital/social media platforms
* Proficiency in Adobe Suite a plus #LI-AM6
