Tiffany & Co. is currently seeking a Applications Manager & Technical Delivery reporting to the Director of IT applications/support. This position will lead a team accountable for building and maintaining Tiffany's digital applications by developing and extending custom and purchased product leading application integration capabilities, DevOps and deployment services, and Quality Assurance testing. This role will partner with a team of Platform Leads, vendor Developers, Technical Business Analysts, QA Leads, Project Managers and Scrum Masters to deliver high quality digital applications supporting eCommerce and Digital asset needs.

Accountabilities Include:
  • Responsible for running the development and maintenance of digital applications and websites.
  • Ensuring that team delivers projects on time and to an high standard.
  • Coordinating assets across multiple development projects.
  • Presenting developer needs and constraints to the wider organization.
  • Responsible for the integration of technical solutions to improve business operations and enhance the efficiency and productivity of the staff.
  • Driving projects and ensuring that projects deliver to these needs.
  • Coordinating with business to ensure output across projects while minimizing delays.
  • Coordinating simultaneous projects effectively across teams and environments.
  • Supporting and guiding the team(s) in continually (incrementally) improving their standards, while they deliver.
  • Removing tactical impediments and driving the resolution of issues while ensuring continued focus on the Business Increment, within teams and across teams.
  • Coordinating application area activities, setting priorities, resolving interpersonal impediments, monitoring and reporting.


Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for leading and handling platform and development teams.
  • Review business requirements and strategize methods with cost-efficient techniques and high-quality standards.
  • Responsible for running vendor relationships/metrics, SOWs, and establishing metrics to ensure system stability and reduce time to market for new projects.
  • Provide vital administration and logistical support to ongoing project work.
  • Demonstrates sophisticated interpersonal skills - oral, written and presentation. Able to distill highly complex or abstract technical issues into clear, useful points, accompanied by authoritative details.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, computer programming, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6+ years of experience leading large technical teams (made up of direct and partner resources) delivering purchased and built software.
  • Experience in technical service delivery roles and a consistent record of successful project management.
  • Experience managing implementations and upgrades of major eCommerce sub systems such as Search, PIM, CMS, Payments and Commerce engines.
  • Expertise in resolving critical support and performance related issues when vital.
  • Solid understanding and experience leading projects and product implementations.
  • Vendor management experience including leading development and delivery quality, reviewing vendor solutions and quality.


Preferred
  • Global retail experience.
  • Experience with Agile and Product/Scrum team methodologies.
  • Hands on development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of eCommerce backend systems (i.e. OMS, Warehouse, Financials etc).
