The Analyst will support the daily execution of new product development projects from inception to product launch. The Analyst will be responsible for asset management, supporting supplier communication, project management, and management of relationships with cross functional partners.

Prior experience in Leather product development is essential, experience in Textile development is a plus.

Key Accountabilities

Project Management

• Execute project plan throughout all phases of development for multiple projects of varying scope.

• Communicate key project milestones and deliverables to supplier base and cross functional partners to ensure project timeline is upheld.

• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation to monitor and track key milestones progress throughout development.

• Identify project risk and work closely with project manager on mitigation plan.

• Provide up to date product and/or development information to key stake holders to maintain project plan and cross functional alignment.

• Communicate cost updates to Merchandising counterparts throughout development.

•Partner with team to ensure accurate inventory needs are outlined for projects; including material requests, bill of material set up and timely PO requests.

Project Sample Management

• Manages all incoming/outgoing samples and materials. Responsible for moving samples between suppliers and internal teams; coordinating with Inventory Control as needed and hand conveyance

• Responsible for organizing materials library (all swatches, color cards and supplier materials)

• Coordinate samples to support Marketing, PR, and Senior Leadership needs

• Prepare samples for weekly meeting presentations, conferences and other business needs

• Manage sample reconciliation.

Operational Support

• Input & maintain data integrity throughout various product development tools and systems, to establish and guide project plan.

• Manage Signoff Process - End to end ownership of systematic sign off for SKUs with cross functional teams to meet launch date.

•Prepare samples for weekly meeting presentations, conferences, and other business needs

•Assist with any business trip preparation (i.e. making copies of sample grids, supplier summary pages, etc.)

• Manage payment processing and database entry for samples, CER, & expense. Follow up with Accounts payable counterparts for any open invoice resolution.

Qualifications/Primary Job Requirements

The qualified candidate will have 2+ years product development experience with expertise in leather goods, home, fashion textiles, luxury or interior design. S/he will be very curious and eager to discover new territories, will think out of the box. S/he will have a refined taste level and a true product sensibility. S/he will have an overall knowledge/experience of retail business practices, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) with adaptability to new software, ability to think strategically - then implement steps to achieve goals. Must have excellent organizational, communication and written skills, ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities, strong interpersonal skills and diplomatic. Undergraduate degree from an accredited University.
