Assistant Accessories Designer

The Assistant Designer will be part of the Accessories Design team and will report to the Senior Handbag Designer. The role will focus on the full product lifecycle of accessories from conception to production.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Assist design teams with research, mock-ups and material trials
• Prepare CADs, sketches, and boards for milestone meetings
• Create seasonal wallchart and review with Director of Product Development Manage sample and vintage archives
• Responsible for preparation and follow up with technical packages for any designated groups
• Work with VP and Senior Designer to assist with specs and technical drawings to ensure each sample is executed with accuracy
• Work closely with Director of Materials and Product Development counterparts to develop and source needs for collection
• Manage branding decks and trim chart for SMS and Production

REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or any related field

· At least 2-3 years of design experience in handbags, accessories design

· Excellent in Photoshop and Illustrator

· Ability to render designs quickly

· Strong understanding of trims, hardware, and leather

· Exceptional technical knowledge and understanding of construction

· Proficient sewing skills

· Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
