POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Buyer, E-Commerce assists the Buyer/Senior Buyer in managing day to day operation of multiple categories within a division. The Assistant Buyer will be responsible for supporting the buying lead in addressing and managing e-commerce challenges and opportunities to support execution of strategic initiatives to achieve sales targets.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
  • Execute site merchandising strategies with pre-season buy initiatives and in season sell out, alongside Sr/Buyer.
  • Pull ecommerce metrics weekly (e.g., sales, stock, out of stocks, traffic, and conversion).
    • Identify business drivers, best/worst sellers, trends & work towards giving strategy recommendations.
    • Able to sell and validate digitally focused point of view with facts and analysis.
    • Work with planning to make promotional/price suggestions based on business.
  • Partner with Site Merchant and Site Experience team on maintaining clean and effective site experience for respective departments. Communicate features/benefits, fabric, details of product to PDP team.
  • Partner with Planning team to impact Open to Buy & Product Life Cycle.
    • Alongside Sr/Buyer, negotiate seasonal receipts with Planning.
  • With guidance, play active role in cross-functional Milestone meetings (Hindsight, Budget & Strategy, etc.), presenting in-depth analysis of areas.
  • Partner with North America/Global Marketing to align on product priorities within departments/divisions. Assist in marketing sample/photo shoot requests.
  • Support the ecommerce business with daily responsibilities including, managing buy/assortment tools and sample management.
  • Independently own style definition, PO entry, & PO tracking/maintenance, with accuracy. Able to navigate PO writing/tracking at expert level.
    • Own timeline for completion as set by internal & external partners.
    • Communicate shipping delays to cross functional team & understand impact to online experience.
    • Step in to help with PO writing when needed

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years retail buying experience, preferably with ecommerce experience, or exposure

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Skills:
  • Understanding of the digital space, ck.com customer, and its unique needs
  • Must be highly organized and have exceptional attention to detail
  • Excel, Word and Power point proficient
  • Some exposure to SAP, IP, XPC, 7th online, or like systems
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership skills; vocal voice of Buying Team
  • Flexible to deadline demands, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced ecommerce environment.
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Strong brand & trend awareness and creative acumen
  • Ability to work in a team based environment
