We are looking for a high-potential and ambitious professional to take on the role of Director Open Innovation. In this role, working closely with the VP Innovation and broader innovation team, you will envision the future of fashion-technology. Your focus in this role will be to build deep connection and collaboration with start-up and scale-ups to drive value chain innovation moving from pilots to scaled solutions and concepts. You will do this using lean start up and design thinking methodologies, adopting a data driven and experiment focused way of working with the customer's perspective as key/leading. You will deliver quality that exceeds expectations, always taking a results and data driven approach.

You will not only lead, coach, and develop a high performing team of innovation managers, but also set, own, and drive the open innovation strategy and roadmap. Your responsibility will span all elements of developing and deploying successful relationships with external partners, and maximising the value of these for PVH. You will excel in collaborating with different stakeholders across PVH to build strong alignment and deliver against innovation north stars, role modelling best practice innovation techniques and approaches acquired through learnt experiences.

You have direct experience in building and scaling digital products in a large corporate and/or start up environment, and are adept at simplifying complexity, developing scalable propositions, and putting the customer at the heart of your work. You can balance managing your time between visioning and execution, shifting gears as necessary, to work across the end-to-end open innovation process. Your average day in this role will be varied and dynamic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and execute open innovation strategy
  • Strong internal stakeholder management to secure managerial backing of a long-term initiatives, and ensure access to necessary resources required for execution
  • Establish close connections between innovation and the business, ensuring deep understanding of roadmaps and needs of key stakeholders
  • Responsible for defining the right governance system and process for how we engage the business and prioritise problems, opportunities, and resourcing
  • Build roadmap of relevant disruptive and long term technologies impacting our business and industry
  • Be an entrepreneur within the business and guide our stakeholders through the landscape of innovation leveraging your expertise
  • Think of new concepts and how to solve prioritized problems, with clear measures of success and customer value
  • Assist the team in prioritizing work and ensuring the delivery of outcomes meets business and customer needs
  • Build on existing and establish new partnerships with accelerators, incubators, and academia
  • Participate in and lead activities such as workshops, stakeholder interviews, business intelligence gathering, and creative brainstorms
  • Bring the right conclusions together and, where appropriate, build strategic recommendations on path to scale

The Ideal Candidate
  • Have at least 8 years working in strategy and innovation
  • Natural leader and strong conceptual thinker, easily inspiring and influencing others
  • Demonstrated ability in defining and executing innovation strategy and start-up and partner led collaboration aligned to business strategic goals
  • You bring a strong network and experience working with known accelerators and start up incubators
  • Proven track record in leading cross functional strategic initiatives and building visions for the future that secure buy in from key stakeholders
  • Strong execution ability - from vision through to launch with experience in quantifying opportunities for ambiguous and innovative new solutions
  • Deep experience designing, validating, executing and scaling new digital products and services that have added significant and measurable value to an organization
  • You are a future thinker with a relentless focus on customers and are curious about new technology and the trends shaping human behaviour and broader society
  • You understand and are familiar working with innovation methodologies such as (but not limited to) Lean Start-up, design thinking, and Customer Development, and are pragmatic in your application of them
  • You are not afraid to challenge the status quo and challenge senior stakeholders with a strong and informed point of view, constantly asking 'what if' questions
  • You have worked in a high performance environment and set high quality standards through your own work
  • Are both creative and analytical
  • Are a fast learner and not afraid to make mistakes
  • Are able to execute at speed while keeping the big picture in mind
  • Able to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and executive leaders
