PURPOSE: Product Development Assistant – Footwear & Accessories

To assist in the development and execution of quarterly collections that fulfils both the requirements of the Designer and the Product Team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working with the Product Development team to build and maintain design packages
  • Fabric, trim and leather sourcing as applicable - working closely with the designers to ensure fabrics and components achieve both their requirements and those of the business
  • To attend and actively contribute to design/development meetings up to SMS delivery
  • Day to day maintenance of the critical path (range plan) is vital for both the Product Development, Technical and Planning departments.
  • Ensuring product kit codes are correct in the in-house system
  • Manage and execute the critical path for the quarterly cad brochures

THE PERSON:

  • Understanding of product construction and manufacture
  • Clear and precise written communication skills
  • At least 1 year's experience in a similar role
  • Intermediate MS Office skills
  • Able to use own initiative

HOURS:

We actively encourage our teams to have a good work/life balance and so we are pleased to offer flexible working shifts at Fred Perry HQ. Our core shift hours are from 10am – 4.30pm and so employees can choose to start and finish early, or start and finish late. (i.e. work 8:00am-4:30pm, or 10:00am-6:30pm etc). We also have 30-minute early finish on Fridays.

As we continue to work in a more flexible way, the Head Office acts a brand hub, where we can all connect and collaborate with one another. This role is a mix of office based (London) and remote working. We will expect the employee to come into the office regularly for face-to-face meetings and to work alongside their team on collaborative projects.
