DUKE + DEXTER is recruiting a Digital Graphic Designer who is forward thinking and experienced in producing design work across a wide range of channels including social media, web, and email marketing. Reporting to the Brand Director, the Graphic Designer plays a critical role in managing the day-to-day creative output of the online business and is responsible for producing stunning visuals with a consistent aesthetic across all our brand channels.


To be successful as a digital media designer, you should be highly self-motivated, creative, ahead of the social media zeitgeist, highly organised, and be able to understand and creatively interpret briefs.


The Role


  • Own the design of business-as-usual workflows such as email, social media, blog posts, homepage updates and affiliate banners. Edit video/imagery content to produce best-in-class content for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, ensuring you are leading the design and creative vision. Produce reactive social posts with tight turnarounds, ensuring you are consistently researching audience preferences and discovering trends. Design + lead on all email marketing and overlay campaigns. Quickly yet thoroughly create blueprints, process flows, wireframes, and visual design mock-ups as needed to effectively conceptualise and communicate detailed interaction behaviours. Design assets for a variety of marketing, PR, and business needs such as lookbooks, invitations, press packs and other brand materials and internal presentations. Adaptation and variation of campaigns for urban advertising display (billboards, street posters, in-store, etc.) Support our Content Manager + Brand Photographer across content shoots, video shoots and e-commercial shoots. Oversee the image editing process, including retouching, and resizing with speed and accuracy Packaging creation Help to develop the clear, innovative, and well-defined style and aesthetic of DUKE + DEXTER Self-manage creative outputs for day-to-day duties, and responsible for project timelines and prioritizing workload



  • Have a forward-thinking mindset and be reactive to social trends, be proactive in bringing ideas for social posts to the table, with a focus on video and meme-based content. Collaborate with business insights, product managers, developers and design teams on research activities, strategy sessions, ideation, design, and testing of new concepts. Partner with in-house and external partners to build experiences: provide appropriate design specifications, create assets, and review finished interfaces.





  • 2 + years’ experience of website, email + social media design and editing (either agency, in-house or self-employed) Degree in graphic or digital media design – beneficial, but not essential A master of Adobe Creative Suite Animation skills (After Effects) – preferred, but not essential Design skills (Photoshops/Illustrator/Sketch/Canva) Presentation pack skills Strong understanding of social media platforms - understanding of meme culture, consistently up to date with latest trends and ability to contribute original ideas Excellent communication skills Be able to work effectively towards a deadline Be able to consult with team on strategies and general social media best practice Highly motivated
