The Merchandising Initiatives Manager will work closely with the Merchandising and Planning team to drive forward the most critical strategic initiatives for the merchandising team. This role will be responsible for partnering with the merchandising leadership team to advance analyses, coordinate cross-functional inputs, and deliver outcomes in support of the Merchandising growth agenda. The Manager will interact with all levels of NMG associates, but have significant exposure to and accountability for the Merchandising Leadership Team and its deliverables. This role will gain exposure to all functions and will have tremendous opportunity to expand their responsibilities as a member of the Merchandising Initiatives team.

  • Leads, drives, and coordinates the execution of key merchandising strategies & initiatives
  • Supports preparation of materials for Board of Director and other key meetings
  • Collects and creates materials to prep Chief Merchandising Officer for key meetings (both internal and external)
  • Coordinates cross-functional meetings to help drive forward the Merchandising growth agenda
  • Supports facilitation of Merchandising Leadership Team meetings (including off-sites, team meetings, performance meetings, etc.)
  • Balances and drives forward multiple workstreams and/or projects across growth initiatives

  • Bachelors degree required; Masters preferred; Business Administration/Management or related field preferred
  • 4-6+ years of experience in retail, management consulting, or other related field
  • Strong quantitative skills, including model ownership and ability to distill complex output for senior-level audience; excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Track record of building strong working relationships with influential decision makers at all levels within an organization
  • Strong attention to detail, results oriented mindset, and ability to independently manage project execution
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
