JOB SUMMARY

This position will supervise the inventory control staff to ensure daily responsibilities and quality cycle counts are completed in a timely manner. This includes setting goals, prioritizing daily tasks and cycle count SOP are executed as per company standards. The supervisor is responsible for coaching and developing the team to create a culture of continuous improvement through employee engagement that supports our company values.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate, supervise, and monitor daily cycle counts of inventory goods in the warehouse by reconciling inventory variances.
  • Analyzes inventory discrepancies by researching variances and identifying root cause by formulating recommendations for improvement of inventory accuracy. This includes but not limited to location variances, picks short research and canceled order reconciliation.
  • Research and adjust discrepancies on a daily basis by reviewing completed and pending counts and making the necessary corrections and/or escalate issues as necessary.
  • Perform all recall and quality holds for operation assign and release holds based on QC inspections.
  • Generation and distribution of weekly/monthly reports that summarize inventory accuracy through use of cycle count program.
  • Provides constant feedback to managers/supervisors regarding operational accuracy in areas such as Picking, Packing, Returns, Replenishment, Shipping and Receiving .
  • Report and establish KPI based on inventory key metrics.
  • Supports all facets of the operation and Customer Service departments.
  • Ensure all outbound audits are completed daily and document discrepancies.
  • Schedule, train, develop and motivate inventory control staff including performance evaluation/counseling.
  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are adhered to by all employees.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by manger.


Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-4yrs of Inventory Control experience with understanding of DC processes, practices and procedures.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience at a high volume, fast-paced distribution warehouse.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent math, oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Must continuously stand/walk with possible lifting/handling and carrying moderate weight.
  • Comfortable in a warehouse environment with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery and loud noise.
  • Must pass drug and background check.
  • Bilingual a plus (Spanish)
  • Weekend and overtime may be required occasionally.
  • PKMS and SAP experience helpful
