JOB SUMMARY
Tory Burch Data and Services organization is at the core of Tory Burch Technology and is pivotal to the customer experience. The Tory Burch data team designs, develops and maintains applications and services that support all of Data Engineering and Analytics business needs to drive Omni channel experiences. Data & Analytics is a strategic focus area for the company.
A Sr Manager of Customer Data and Analytics Platform at Tory Burch Technology helps create a workplace that is inspiring for talented people to drive stellar customer experiences and business results. This is a key leadership position that is directly responsible for building out our CRM & MarTech capabilities. The Director is a highly influential leader with deep technical knowledge.
In this role, you will lead Data Engineering teams at Tory Burch. In addition, the ideal candidate must possess a high degree of collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at many levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hires and builds teams to meet needs of organization
- Provides a balance of technical leadership and business judgment
- Drives end to end technical design and delivery

- Develops organizational structures to support organizational strategy and matches individual's talents to implement strategy
- Identifies and develops top talent
- Ensures organization has the tools, resources, and information it needs to be successful
- Influences others to achieve outcomes even when outside of their direct scope
- Fosters cultures of continuous improvement through mentoring, feedback and metrics
- Has ownership and accountability over creating new systems and evolving existing systems
- Drives architectural decisions for Customer data & analytics functional area
- Effectively incorporates storytelling to help reinforce key messages and increase engagement across teams
EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- 8+ years of experience leading engineering teams. 2+ years of experience as a people manager
- Deep expertise in Cloud Computing preferable GCP/Azure, Distributed Systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong DevOps skills
- Experience in Python, Java or Scala
- Experience with Streaming such as Kafka, Apache Flink, Apache Spark
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or commiserate work experience
- In-depth hands-on experience with the Hadoop ecosystem e.g., Hadoop, Spark, HBase, Hive etc.
- In-depth hands-on experience with large scale data warehousing
