JOB SUMMARY

This role is the main developer of engineered time studies and regular participant in continuous improvement for Operations. They will understand all operational processes, investigate and recommend improvements and liaison with IT WMS Business Analysts to implement changes in the Labor Manager System (LMS), Warehouse Control System (WCS) or other systems required for the change. They will oversee the labor management system and work with operation groups to improve productivity. In working with our Sr. Industrial Engineer, this role will also analyze operational data to suggest best operational flow through the warehouse and partner with DC Operations Management on special projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain Engineered Labor Standards for all production departments
  • Work with operations management to maintain labor management program
  • Understand operational processes and work with Engineering Director to recommend process improvements
  • Analyze operational data to suggest and implement optimal operational flows through warehouse
  • Develop SCI Reports to Tableau using live data connections
  • Support operations users of WMS and WCS systems
  • Work with operations management to improve performance of staff
  • Evaluate and update performance standards as improvements are implemented
  • Identify issues, document defects and escalate problems to appropriate departments
  • Work with IT WMS Business Analyst to design and implement process improvements that require system configuration or modifications
  • Work with IT resources to test and certify performance of WMS, WCS or other systems
  • Provides Management with updates to KPIs
  • Evaluate changes to operational processes in partnership with the Management team and implement change to achieve optimum performance
  • Support Corporate Sustainability Initiatives / Packaging reduction initiatives


The Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Management Science
  • 1-2 years of full time or internship experience. This is an entry level position.
  • Ability to think strategically as well as tactically
  • Possess a willingness to create and lead the implementation of news ideas
  • Highly motivated with a sense of entrepreneurial spirit
  • Flexible to meet our ever-changing environment
  • Able to compile data from a variety of sources, analyze and recommend appropriate courses of action to take
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to build cross functional relationship with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
  • An interest in understanding automation through the entire fulfillment process, process flows, inventories, variances and counting techniques
  • Prior experience or coursework in designing and developing operational processes, warehouse flow and labor management
  • Experience with Database Management
  • Basic SQL experience
  • Experience with Tableau software
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with good organization and time management skills
  • Solid computer skills; strong math and analytical skills
