The Director, eCommerce Media will lead the digital Consumer Journey strategy for Tommy.com, and operations of our performance media channels, demand performance analytics and optimization scoping. The Director also leads the mapping and testing of new audience-building opportunities, consumer engagement, and long-term retention strategies. In addition, the Director leads out Ecommerce Operations practice, consisting of ongoing and cross-functional business operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Build the North American Tommy.com consumer journey and performance media strategies for Tommy Hilfiger. Objectives include brand awareness, acquisition, engagement, retention, and sales revenue through digital performance media investments
  • Manage performance media agency roster and full eCommerce media budget to achieve marketing, revenue and financial objectives, while fully maximizing return on ad spend. Manage multiple performance marketing channels and optimize media mix to achieve brand performance goals (Email, SEM, SEO, Paid Social, Retargeting, Affiliate, etc.)
  • Identify and cultivate new digital agencies and partnerships that deliver incremental qualified traffic and customer activation to Tommy.com, inclusive of new technologies and media platforms
  • Lead ecommerce analytics strategies and manage analytical infrastructure, inclusive of analytics agency management
  • Partner closely with the Brand Marketing group to co-design cohesive, sequential media strategies and touchpoints. Collectively deliver a unified customer media journey, delivering seamlessly to the Tommy.com site experience
  • Partner closely with Global Digital team to build a regional strategy in support of global messages, leveraging region-specific growth channels and best practices
  • Deliver on monthly, quarterly and annual targets of total traffic, media channel mix, device mix, conversion by media channel, total sales and margin
  • Develop secondary KPI success metrics per channel; design, distribute and socialize channel results to key internal business partners, both domestically and globally
  • Identify, vet and own new media partnerships
  • Lead strategic competitive analysis, and design and socialize competitive-driven new media and partnership strategies
  • Responsible for return on all ecommerce media ad spend, including ongoing analysis and reallocation of budget across media channels
  • Responsible for sourcing and advising eCommerce leadership on new distribution and partnership opportunities
  • Accountable for sales delivery and profitability of email programs, individual affiliate partnerships, and Search marketing campaigns at the Branded and Non-Branded level

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 8-10 years of related experience, including substantial experience in Digital Performance Marketing for a leading ecommerce brand or multi-channel retailer
  • Demonstrated strength in communication and influencing skills; not only written and verbal, but also in the engagement of internal and external business partners
  • Mastery of optimization to performance marketing metrics: Open Rate, CTR, CLV, CPA, CPC
  • Proven ability to deliver sales and incremental efficiency gains across all forms of eCommerce Performance Media
  • Proven ability to identify and quickly react to shifting behaviors and trends in digital consumer engagement
  • Proven ability to effectively gain alignment and socialize innovation across a highly-matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated success in being an internal digital champion
  • Demonstrated desire and ability to work effectively at both the strategic and tactical execution levels, moving nimbly between both perspectives
  • Executive presence and strong presentation skills to interact with senior level management
  • Strong strategic and quantitative skills
  • Proven ability to deliver ROI in performance media
  • Strong executive presentation skills, written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects with adherence to deadlines
  • Must be highly organized. Must be able to work independently as well as on group projects
  • Must be self-motivated and confident with some decision making
  • Must have the ability to manage up, down and across with positive results
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, premium fashion environment
  • Desire to innovate quickly as part of a nimble, entrepreneurial team within an iconic, established American brand
