THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As Visual Communication Designer (B2B2C), you will contribute to evolving Zalando's visual brand identity towards both our existing and our prospective fashion, lifestyle, beauty, and sports partners. You will work as part of our creative excellence department in Zalando's Partner Communications unit, responsible for Brand Marketing, Brand Management, and Learning & Development across our business propositions for partners. In your role, you will support in shaping a coherent, delightful partner experience that empowers them to be successful in e-commerce, and drives awareness, growth, and B2B2C brand love for Zalando.

You will report directly to our Creative Director and work closely with internal stakeholders (marketing, communication, product design, and commercial teams) as well as external agencies. Hereby, you act as a creative consultant for applied brand design. Your brand-guardianship covers creative management of brand design and derived principles delivered for 360° campaigns (ATL/ BTL), communication assets, and user interfaces, closely aligned with our marketing analytics and user experience insights. Further, you will manage global design-agency creative, and be responsible for the recruitment and development of our graphic design interns.

WHY YOU SHOULD BE INTERESTED
  • Develop, activate and maintain the visual brand identity across Zalando's B2B2C propositions in close collaboration with our Creative Director; derive style guides and enablement formats to inform, engage and enable internal teams to live up to our brand
  • Creative consultancy and design support for a wide range of topics across on- and offline touchpoints (e.g., campaigns, events, websites, presentations, trainings etc.) as well as co-steering external creative agencies
  • Collaborate and foster strong relationships across brand, marketing, communication, and product design teams throughout the Zalando to drive synergies across the business
  • Support in acquiring deep market & user insights on current behavioural and design trends, making this knowledge accessible to your design peers across the company
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
  • 3+ years of experience working in brand design and art direction for corporate and agile tech companies, agency or client side (specific experience in fashion/ lifestyle/ beauty/ sports is a plus).
  • Ability to support in building and evolving dynamic visual brand identities based on business requirements (brand strategy, brand architecture); strong storytelling and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive, hands-on, get things done mentality; diligent and quick, but at the same time well-organized and meticulous down to the pixel; eager to learn and take responsibility for quality and contribution of own work; able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Comprehensive knowledge in state-of-the-art software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Webflow, Google Suite, ...) and experience with web technology and coding (e.g., HTML, CSS, ...)
