POSITION SUMMARY:

The Copywriter is responsible for adapting the voice of the brand to create and contribute content that builds brand awareness, engages customers and drives sales across the Amazon platform. The Copywriter works closely with creative team or project team members at all levels to generate and execute concepts for all branded material. The Copywriter is expected to actively develop original solutions and create polished final deliverables whether working solo or under the guidance of a more senior creative.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
  • Craft and/or edit compelling copy based on brand requirements and knowledge of performance at Amazon
  • Analyze copywriting performance and propose changes and enhancements
  • Work in a highly matrixed environment with all stakeholders (Sales, Marketing...)
  • Utilize data driven insights such as keyword traffic reporting tools in copy to help drive traffic/search in PDPs
  • Work in partnership with marketing strategy team to implement tactical communications plans

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:
  • 3+ years of progressive responsibility in B2C communication
  • 3+ years of website, email, and social media content development
  • Amazon copywriting experience ideal (eCommerce a must-have)

Education: BA in English, journalism, communications or a related field

Skills:
  • Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to write in a range of voices and styles for a variety of projects with diverse audiences.
  • Experience with strategic concepting, campaign development and creative execution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working collaboratively across multiple teams.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle diverse writing demands.
  • Proven track of record of content creation and content creation management including marketing workflows.
  • Ability to integrate into existing brand voice
  • Strong analytical abilities, specifically with translating campaign performance metrics into copy optimizations
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally and work with a wide range of stakeholders
