Commercial Team

The Commercial Team leads and develops the supply strategies to grow our business. The team consists of Merchandising, Planning, Buying, Business Development, and Stadium Apparel departments. The team creates and manages strategic sales, pricing and gross margin targets while balancing inventory across all sales channels. They partner with all departments to guarantee a successful and profitable product life cycle, to identify new revenue-enhancing opportunities in the supply landscape, and to build the Stadium Goods brand.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the SVP Commercial, you will oversee the merchandise strategy across direct brand partnerships, streetwear, and our owned brands. You will buy merchandise to increase sales and profitability and enhance Stadium Goods competitive positioning and maximize untapped areas for growth across the enterprise. You will collaborate with the Creative Director for Stadium Brand to curate a distinguished, commercially viable assortment with a focus on achieving sales, margin, and sell through targets. You will guide long-term strategy, collaborating across teams to ensure buys are supported with marketing, private client, retail, and site and app support, and working with commercial planning to respond to sales trends, implement strategies by vendor, brand and category. You will lead a team which is focused on conceiving, identifying, refining, and implementing innovative product concepts that push the boundaries of streetwear.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • You will build and oversee execution of merchandise strategy across wholesale business which includes newly established streetwear business - You will set and communicating a vision for the category, identifying market positioning, brand tiering and matrix, target customer demographic, and go to market strategy
    • You will partner with commercial planning and finance to manage and control open to buy inclusive of performance to budget and reforecast maintaining a on forward-looking inventory position and assortment build
    • You will partner with Creative Director to understand vision for Stadium Branded products and collaborate to bring that vision to life
    • You will oversee the release schedule, production schedule, the delivery of wholesale buys, and seasonal assortment strategies ensuring a consistent brand message
    • You will partner with the Director of Production and Creative Director to ensure design, quality, and fit
    • You will lead quarterly line reviews and style outs with executive leadership to gain support on major brand and classification strategies
    • You will partner with marketing, merchandising, content, retail and business development teams to ensure collections and merchandise campaigns are supported and a brand voice and presentation is delivered to the consumer across all touchpoints
    • You will collaborate with the Creative Director to lead concepts and ideation for all brand expansion including but not limited to SKU, category, and brand collaboration expansion and oversee these concepts and projects to completion
    • You will maintain in-depth industry expertise, understanding of new brands and competitive landscape


WHO YOU ARE

    • You have 7+ years progressive buying experience in a digital multi-brand fashion environment; Private label experience required
    • You excel in a fast moving environment and can pivot effectively around changing priorities
    • You have understanding of sneaker and streetwear trends
    • You are a creative thinker with a problem solving attitude
    • You can tell a story through presenting compelling decks that draw in an audience
    • You have an in-depth understanding of open-to-buy and financial metrics and can present these findings to leadership teams
    • You have a strong sense of ownership and determination to get things done
