The Assignment

We have an exciting 8-Month Fixed Term Contract available for an Immediate Start.

We are seeking an HR Generalist Consultant to identify efficiencies in HR process flows and create process improvements using Sharepoint functionality and our HRIS (Oracle HCM). This will require working in the HR Administration capacity for 2-4 weeks to develop a good working knowledge of the Recruitment / Onboarding / Employee Setup / Employee Paperwork and Offboarding processes to then be able to diagnose bottlenecks and create process improvements.

The second part of this assignment is to develop a self-service HR Knowledge Base (or Intranet) on Sharepoint and resource the site with the following:
  • Existing resources - Policies and Procedures, Program and Process Manuals and Flow Charts (e.g. Performance Review Process, Recruitment Process), Information Guides
  • Create new resources - Create Training Videos, Powerpoint decks and Flow Charts for core HR programs and tasks (e.g. How to conduct a performance management discussion and create a Performance Improvement Plan); identify common manager and employee queries and create Frequently Asked Questions Guides to house on the HR Knowledge Base (covering some of these topics: Payroll, Employee Entitlements, Enterprise Agreement)

These resources will be accessible to employees and managers subject to access levels and will proactively help minimise the number of HR calls and emails received by our small and busy HR team.

This role will also help migrate Employee Files to the HR Sharepoint site and better organise our internal HR files. Through this assignment the HR Consultant may find and support with other processes to help the team work smarter not harder.

Selection Criteria
  • 2-5 years' experience as an HR generalist with subject matter expertise in all the onboarding / employee setup / offboarding processes and ability to design smarter processes that save on time and are automated using sharepoint.
  • HR systems experience, ideally with Oracle HCM
  • Experience creating an HR Knowledge Base (on sharepoint preferably) and housing HR files such as P&P's, User Guides/manuals in an intuitive user-friendly format
  • Experience with creating training materials for HR processes using video or powerpoint on a variety of HR Topics such as performance management, recruitment, enterprise agreements, employment relations, etc.
  • Has strong attention to detail
  • Is highly resourceful and organised and able to work independently in a project role that doesn't have any history or structure, be comfortable with creating project plans, working efficiently and managing up progress.
  • High level of maturity and the ability to see solutions for every problem encountered and be ok with ambiguity, change, a fast pace.
