Assistant Merchandiser
HUGO BOSS UK Ltd. | London | United Kingdom | Full-time

Supporting the Outlet Merchandising team for the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia. We are looking for someone who is reliable, who works well individually as well as with a team, can use their own initiative and is not afraid of numbers. The successful candidate will be professional in manner, have a flexible approach to work and excellent communication skills. The role is based in our London Head Office.

What you can expect:

• Review and re-forecast continuity lines on a regular basis, highlighting risks and opportunities to Merchandiser
• Assist the Merchandiser with range and option planning, and delivery phasing to meet sales plans
• Responsible for in season trading: Managing stock levels and intake for NOS & seasonal stock at style / colour / store level. Oversee replenishment and initial allocations to drive sell through
• Produce weekly analysis and feedback on the range with the view to propose any necessary trading actions
• Guiding the Allocators in managing intake, allocation of stock and ad-hoc analysis
• Work with Merchandiser regarding any stock and sales issues, and take action regarding product requirements/feedback
• Identify, cost and propose markdown/promotional activity with the Merchandiser to drive trade
• Liaise with the Planning team/Supply Chain team regarding delivery issues and delays
• Build a strong working relationship with the Area Managers and stores
• Store visits as required
• Any other ad hoc duties

Your profile:

• Ideally some experience as an Assistant Merchandiser with a proven track record of managing and developing junior members of your team
• Ability to make trade decisions on the strength of sales using merchandising tools.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel required (v-lookups, pivot tables, complex formulas, etc.)
• Knowledge of SAP and BIS is an advantage
• Strong at prioritising workload and with a flexible attitude to change in priorities
• Understand and represent the brand values.
• Excellent communicate skills both written and verbal, with all levels of staff within the company
• Enthusiastic, self-confident and self-motivated. Shows ambition to drive through initiatives and change to achieve company targets.
• Pays close attention to detail, accuracy and is very analytical
• Able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities successfully.
• Willing to adapt and take on new challenges and driven to continually improve.
• Professionalism is maintained at all times.
