At Karla Otto we are always looking for personalities with positive charisma who are enthusiastic, self-motivated and have a keen sense of aesthetics. The Director, Creative Strategy will work with a leading team at Karla Otto, overseeing the setting and implementation of creative direction. The role is to set over-arching creative strategy across all activities, generate concepts and their creative references, then oversee the implementation of this creative (as a consultant for agency or client(s) production teams or on occasion, hands on). You will manage direct report(s) and work alongside wider account strategy, implementation and communications teams. We are looking for someone highly creative and engaged in the worlds of fashion & luxury, with a keen attention to detail, collaborative work approach and who is confident at presenting their consultation internally and externally. The ideal candidate will have an open-minded approach to creative, balancing their own creative viewpoint with the needs of the client(s) and the project audience.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

• Lead, define & implement the creative content direction for client(s) work ; strive for best-in-class innovation and compelling storytelling

• Working closely with the strategy and content production team to bring ideas to life, and mould them into something tangible

• Support the team in the development of content campaigns and their roll-out, across Marketing, PR & Digital channels, whether launches, collaborations or news stories

• Set the central visual tone for client(s) work and how this will translate to individual content activations

• Establish the photography, design and video guidelines to ensure that all content looks, feels and sounds uniquely fitting to client(s)

• Lead, manage and mentor the internal creative content team to ensure all shoots and outputs are delivered on time, and to the highest standard

• Act as a creative thought leader for the team, ensuring awareness of the luxury print & digital landscape

Define annual list of creative collaborators i.e. photographers, stylists, artists etc that are partnership targets

• Concept & ideate content shoot ideas to ensure they are cohesive with the overarching creative direction and connect with the desired target audience

• Ensure client visual brand identity is consistent across all creative projects and platforms • Where required, work with implementation team to manage relationships with external creative agencies and partners i.e. art directors, graphic designers, videographers etc.

 

Requirements

• Passionate about storytelling, content & developing brand visuals • Strong creative content vision within a strategic space

• Understanding of digital asset production at scale, post production workflow & the technical requirements of marketing assets i.e. formats

• Experience of leading a team to deliver a broad variety of creative projects

• Understanding of social media, digital and creative trends

• Ability to structure/deliver creative presentations (internally or externally)

• Experience developing creative across multiple global markets

• Capability to work in a dynamic and changeable environment
