JOB PURPOSE

Work closely with the architecture design team to deliver store projects globally. Ensuring the store concept and business rationale are clearly delivered in each project. This person will have the opportunity to work across a host of creative functions, furniture, fixtures, finishes as well as built environments and pop-ups/installation experience led spaces; developing creative ideas in very different final landing spaces.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research and develop ideas across multiple projects, creating bodies of work for internal and external approvals and creative discussion
• Communication of design ideas through research, references, and appropriate outputs ie. sketches / hand-drawings, renders or scale drawings
• Be able to develop designs independently and share for feedback in an open forum. Using this feedback to refine and develop ideas and solutions
• Be able to pull together design packs for internal and external presentations
• Take ownership of smaller projects under guidance of the Senior Designer, clearly seeking references, sketch and communicating ideas to the team
• Ability to detail designs in the best tools to assist partners, external contractors or specialists
• Creative research, ability to develop mood boards capturing a spirit of idea
• Able to source new and dynamic materials and techniques to build
• Research and be aware of trends - across retail design, styling and customer interaction
• Maintain accurate product layout in space planning tool
• Running store layout scenarios and simulations for the store design team.

PERSONAL PROFILE

• Degree level in Architecture or Interior Design
• Relevant experience of architecture design in luxury retail
• Creative design sensibility
• Confident creative point of view
• Technical capability and ability to influence and negotiate confidently with cross-functional partners
• Knowledge of current market trends and competitor approaches
• Well organised, flexible and adaptable
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and share information effectively
• Collaborative team player with strong initiative
• Experience working with space planning tools and software eg. Kopperman
