Senior Applied Scientist - Risk AI (all genders)

THE ROLE & THE TEAM
Zalando Payments is looking for a Senior Applied Scientist to help us further develop our risk models. In this role, you will participate in the full ML lifecycle: data labeling, model creation, deployment and monitoring. There is a strong research component required in this role since fraud patterns are diverse and constantly changing. Consulting abilities are also important as we integrate our models into our business processes and measure the impact that we have on Zalando's customers.

This position is located in the Risk Management Department, which is responsible for managing credit and fraud risk for Zalando's payments and refunds.

• You are experienced in applying ML methods to real-world problems, including data collection, model development, deployment, and monitoring

• You have experience working with Python, Spark, XGBoost, and AWS
• You are interested in collaborating with different functional areas (operations, internal tool developers) to drive business outcomes
