Vestiaire Collective is looking for a Business Developer Consignment to join the Brand Partnerships & Consignment team (role based in Paris)

About the role

Join the Consignment team in France! The Consignment team offers our VIP customers a white glove selling service: we manage everything from collections, pricing, photography, storage and shipping. We are growing this service in France and re-opening it in other key European markets and are looking for driven Business Developers, who can work independently and have a strong network of potential clients.

What you'll be doing
  • Onboard & develop relationships with new sellers through your personal network but also through new commercial relationships to drive business
  • Identify new sellers acquisition channels (personal stylists/shoppers, agencies, influencers, conciergeries...), create and execute marketing strategies to drive new leads
  • Manage business development initiatives: partnerships, events, campaigns etc
  • Present the service and its terms, assess client potential and support clients in their first deposits while providing an outstanding level of service.
  • Manage the handover of the client to the key account manager
  • Manage your time and appointments schedule to exceed your targets
  • Assist clients and handle queries

Who you are
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in luxury retail industry or personal styling or customer-facing luxury job
  • You are a luxury industry expert, with very good knowledge of the needs of the luxury customer and you are knowledgeable about fashion history, trends and have an understanding of (resale) pricing of luxury items and designer brands.
  • You are fluent in the local market language, as well as English
  • A large network of potential clients and/or an ability to build networks and referrals very quickly
  • Greatness and dedication: a strong will to overachieve your ambitious targets while remaining calm and offering a high level of service and attention to detail
  • You have excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • You're confident with using tools such as G-suite, Salesforce, CRM
  • You're able to represent Vestiaire's values and communicate effectively with demanding clients
