Job Details

The Finance Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst primarily provides operational finance support for Tiffany Grading Lab (TGL), Jewelry Design and Innovation Workshop (JDIW), Global Quality Assurance and capital including Diamond Division. Tiffany Grading Lab operations include operational and technical responsibilities of grading diamonds used in Tiffany product. JDIW operations include the development of new designs, manufacturing techniques and materials. Global Quality Assurance is primarily focused on providing confidence that quality requirements are being fulfilled. The senior analyst's role will focus on delivering accurate and insightful budgeting, forecasting, and analytics to support effective operational and capital decision-making.

Key Accountabilities

Forecasting, Budgeting, and Reporting
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes for total incurred costs of the TGL, JDIW and Global Quality Assurance
  • Deliver accurate and insightful analytics to support effective operational decision making
  • Work closely with finance and accounting managers to understand and improve financials for relevance and accuracy
  • Support the division leads through financial reporting, modeling, analysis and cost updates
  • Prepare and analyze monthly dashboard of performance KPIs
  • Long Range Plan support
  • Perform various ad hoc modeling and scenario analyses to support key decision making

Capital Financial Analytic Support
  • Supports analysis and reporting of all TGL, JDIW, Global Quality Assurance and Diamond Division spending. Understands and reconciles spend data vs the forecast and plan.
  • Develops business case ROI analysis
  • Supports and challenges operations on savings assumptions by creating meaningful financial data
  • Runs analytical data for post audit reviews regarding investments and savings
  • Recommends and drives actions to avoid carryover spend into the following year
  • Partners with operations and corporate FP&A on forecast spending & planning
  • Owns and manages the Capital Expenditure Request (CER) process. Inclusive of all forms, data, analytics, and approvals

Process Improvement Initiatives
  • Enhance analytical tools and methodologies for increased automation and efficiency
  • Partner with local finance teams to identify and resolve expense integrity issues and coordinate resolutions
  • Other ad hoc analysis and projects as required

Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Finance
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting/finance experience
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software with advanced excel skills
  • Willing to work flexible hours during month & year-end closings, as well as special assignments when requested

Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA certification
  • MBA degree
  • JD Edwards financial software knowledge
  • MRP experience/Manufacturing accounting knowledge
