The Director, Corporate Strategy is charged with developing and communicating the Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman brands' growth strategy and providing recommendations on strategic direction to executives & the Board of Directors. This role works across the organization to align, enable, and support the development of NMG's strategic roadmap. The Director, Corporate Strategy will shape the strategic planning agenda, drive key strategic initiatives, and set up baseline reporting on performance to enable the organization to compete effectively and contribute towards NMG's vision of being an innovative, growth-minded, customer-centric luxury platform. The Director, Corporate Strategy will report to the VP, Corporate Strategy & Analysis and work closely with the executive leadership team.

Job Responsibilities:
- Shape long-term strategy and annual planning process through integrating and synthesizing market landscape insights, identifying and evaluating opportunities, and partnering with executive leadership team to align on a strategic plan
- Advises the executive team on analysis of progress towards the strategic vision, highlighting risks to value creation. Owns key executive reports and metrics
- Spearhead critical strategic initiatives by bringing thought leadership, strategic framing, and a strong problem-solving toolkit. Create business plans for high potential opportunities and follow-through by partnering with key functional leaders on an execution plan
- Partners with Financial Planning & Analysis to supports initiative ad hoc financial, economic, consumer and operation analyses. Monitors performance of the business by ensuring core KPIs are met and understanding the driving forces behind them
- Acts as an agent of change utilizing data and metrics to influence and align perspectives and prepare people within the organization to act with urgency;
- Coach and develop manager/analyst level team members and contribute to a culture of collaboration and high performance
Desired Education, Qualifications & Experience:
- 6-8 years of management consulting, corporate strategy, and/or related business unit leadership experience with a passion for apparel, retail, and luxury;
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred;
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills; ability to structure ambiguous problems, to bring logic to drive key analyses, and to synthesize analyses to actionable insights;
- Strong quantitative background with experience distilling insights from complex data;
- Connects creative out-of-the box thinking to business implications and financial outcomes;
- Ability to create strong working relationships with all levels of the organization, including building relationships and influencing senior management teams;
- Strong executive presence and communication skills with the ability to translate highly complex concepts and communicate them in a concise, digestible manner;
- Experience in the e-commerce, luxury retail, or management consulting industries;
- Highly motivated self-starter with a willingness to remove obstacles, to manage cross-functional complexities and stakeholders; and to prioritize in a dynamic environment;
- Energy and edge that serve as catalyst for action and change in the organization;
- Exceptional people leader with ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams
