Who What Wear is looking to hire an Associate Social Media Editor to join its award-winning culture. If you’re a social media expert looking for your next move, we’d love to hear from you! 

As the Associate Social Media Editor, you will draft copy for posts for daily content across social media platforms and work with fellow social editors to engage our audience across social platforms and execute on community activations.

If you're the ideal candidate for the role, you are well-versed in the women’s fashion and beauty vertical and you love to stay on top of social and distribution trends, providing feedback to other staff within our editorial and social newsrooms. Most of all, you have strong writing skills and intimate familiarity with Who What Wear with a deep passion for and understanding of the brand. 

This position will be based in Los Angeles and will report into the Senior Social Media Manager.

Who What Wear is powered by a hybrid remote/ in-person workforce that spans the US and UK. Our interviewing and onboarding activities are conducted virtually, as will most of your work, but you should be open to working in person from time to time if necessary. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write social copy consistent with brand voice across social channels including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest
  • Source imagery, schedule and publish posts across social media platforms
  • Help ensure posts on social have links to corresponding market and storiesWork with Senior Social Media Manager  to ensure Who What Wear hits its social KPIs
  • Engage with the Who What Wear social audience through community management best practices
  • Assist with live coverage of and from events and work with social editors and partnerships team to cross-promote social content and site content as needed
  • Help maintain internal social dashboards and reporting
  • Stay abreast of key industry trends, competitive insights, and emerging social media/marketing/ecommerce technologies

Key Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in online publishing, with a background in social media.
  • Deep passion and knowledge of celebrity content, pop culture, social media, and fashion trends
  • Must be great at image and market research while having a keen interest in social media and content marketing
  • Knowledge of online editorial and social media best practices, including optimizing content for CTR and engagement.
  • Experience with social publishing and reporting tools; experience with newsrooms, production environments, and live coverage a plus
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and provide self-direction.
  • Team player attitude, with a resourceful, can-do spirit and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
