Job Details

Reporting to the Finance Manager and based at our head office in Parsons Green, we are searching for an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our finance team.

 

This person will work to maintain an effective credit control system for the Company, liaise with customers and resolve customer debt.

 

Key responsibilities of the role:

Includes but are not limited to:

 

  • Post daily cash and credit payments/transfers and ensure accurate input onto Microsoft Dynamics Nav
  • Raise invoices and credit notes onto Microsoft Dynamics Nav
  • Prepare ledger and bank reconciliations, investigating any misallocation of monies
  • Monitor outstanding payments and contact customers before the payments become overdue to confirm payments.
  • Liaise with Credit Control Manager to identify problem accounts and where necessary assist in proceedings to ensure outstanding debts are satisfactorily concluded
  • Prepare and run customer statements
  • Liaise with and resolve customer queries
  • Preparing Agent commissions in collaboration with the Credit Control Manager
  • Month end duties including intercompany recharges
  • Any ad-hoc jobs required by management

 

Key Relationships:

  • Main point of contact/liaison for external suppliers
  • Offsite company cost centre managers

 

Key skills, experience and knowledge required:

  • Previous experience within an Accounts Receivable position
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics desirable
  • Experience with NAV desirable
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills essential
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage ledger proactively
  • Working to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good influencing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive and solutions driven
  • Prioritising workload
  • French and/or Italian speaking desirable
