We are now looking to fill the role of Head of People & Organization (P&O) within our B2B organization. The role reports to the Director of P&O and has leadership responsibilities for a team of dedicated Business Partners.

  • As Head of P&O B2B you are responsible for the strategic P&O management of a portfolio of sub business units, including Tech Teams, Connected Network, Connected Retail, Fulfillment Core and others with a total of more than 500 employees in Berlin, Dortmund, Helsinki, Sweden, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands.
  • You will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels across Zalando’s and our B2B organization. Build a network with relevant stakeholders to drive multiple projects to conclusions in a timely manner. Interface up to SVP level, sharing monthly business reviews and representing progress against core KPI’s, deliverables and our annual strategy.
  • As Head of P&O you act as strategic partner for the respective business units and consult on all major P&O aspects from employer branding, workforce- and talent management to organizational development, team effectiveness, people and leadership development and D&I
  • Your vision, excellent business knowledge and clear prioritization lead to a highly effective, result-oriented P&O work for the units. This includes the realization of Zalando-wide and B2B initiatives as well as customized adaptations for selected sub-cultures if needed
  • With your team you plan, steer and oversee the Performance and Growth cycles and you work closely with the Zalando central functions to develop the best solution for B2B
  • You constantly question the status quo, identify opportunities for innovation, and you proactively drive forward relevant initiatives. Together with your team you oversee the strategic P&O projects in P&O in alignment with the senior leadership team and the Director P&O.
  • You are an active, inspiring player and influencer in Zalando’s P&O community and contribute your knowledge and experience to a diverse range of global projects and in collaboration with your Peers
  • As an experienced Senior Generalist, you’ll lead and inspire your team. Your open communication and credible decision making will help deliver results within the site at a fast pace, you’ll definitely be someone with a Bias for Action. Most importantly, you’ll be fair, pragmatic and commercial - someone who is proactive, who enjoys being visible and delivering tangible results to your customers and the business as a whole.
  • You have a minimum of 8 years of job experience in the field of HR management, including Business Engagement and a minimum of 5 years of leadership experiences
  • Experience in a dynamic environment, fast growing organizations and international context are of a significant advantage
  • In your professional track record, you already were able to demonstrate general HR competencies as well as a result-oriented, pragmatic mentality
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, empathy and assertiveness are among your top strengths.
  • Your German as well as your English language skills are business fluent
  • Experience in B2B environments are preferable
