Position Overview
Responsible for supporting the Chief Global Impact & Communications Officer in developing and executing communications strategies that build and protect the Company's corporate reputation and tell the story of how it is executing its Next Great Chapter strategy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Help set the strategic direction of the company's corporate reputation and media efforts, including collaborating with senior management to secure buy-in on strategies that are aligned with business objectives. · Develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with business, financial, consumer and innovation press and other external stakeholders · Serve as a spokesperson for RL on a broad range of subjects · Develop high-quality written materials that convey RL's corporate narrative, including messaging platforms, press releases, Q&As, speeches, editorials, infographics etc. · Build and maintain a strong network of business partners across all levels of the global organization. · Engage with senior executives to promote industry-leading initiatives, and increase the overall positive industry awareness for the company through executive visibility programs (including speaking opportunities.) · Support the early detection, identification and proper handling of opportunities or situations that may have a direct impact on RL's corporate reputation · Develop and manage internal processes to enhance global coordination and alignment of communications activities (e.g., disclosure and media policies) · Coordinate with international teams to ensure consistency in message and execution · Support storytelling and engagement around the Company's Citizenship & Sustainability work · Help drive key cross-functional working groups that protect corporate reputation · Support the overall coordination, organization and evolution of the function · Develop measurement for function

Experience, Skills & Knowledge
The ideal candidate is a hands-on accomplished communications leader with exceptional media relations / social media capabilities and experience developing comprehensive strategies for communication. Established media relations skills. Must have proven experience managing top-tier press for leading brand(s)
• Strong understanding of changing media landscape
• Experience in building and managing media programs that deliver measurable results
• Experience coaching senior executives
• Conversant in media measurement and analytics
• Proven ability to think ahead, engage proactively and take initiative
• Self-starter approach to work and strong problem solver
• Strategic and execution oriented - must have the ability to deliver high quality initiatives to tight deadlines and on budget, in a pressurized environment
• Stellar writing and editing skills - PowerPoint plan development, news releases, fact sheets, talking points, executive briefing documents
• Excellent persuasive written and verbal communications skills, including interpersonal and presentation skills
• Knowledge of how to develop communications strategies to bring about perception change and build understanding of new direction
• Proven track record of managing staff and or/agency teams to achieve measureable results
